Features and Benefits
Norgen’s Ebolavirus TaqMan RT-PCR Kit is designed for the simultaneous detection of RNA from six Ebolavirus species (Ebola virus, Sudan virus, Bundibugyo virus, Taï Forest virus, Reston virus, and Bombali virus) using real-time RT-PCR based on the use of TaqMan® technology. This kit is intended for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic procedures. Detection of Ebolavirus-specific RNA is achieved through multiplex TaqMan one-step RT-PCR, providing a simple, reliable, and rapid method for identifying the presence of all six mentioned virus RNA in purified samples. Norgen’s Ebolavirus TaqMan RT-PCR Kit includes a PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition, and to validate the quality of the sample and the detection result. The Ebolavirus TaqMan RT-PCR Kit comprises a RT-PCR Master Mix, Primer & Probe Mix, Positive Control (EBOV), and a Negative Control (nuclease-free water). The assay requires 2 channels; FAM and HEX. Norgen’s Ebolavirus TaqMan RT-PCR Kit was developed and verified for use with compatible real-time PCR instruments equipped with FAM and HEX detection channels

Storage Conditions and Product Stability
All kit components should be stored at -20°C upon arrival.
Repeated freeze-thaw cycles (>2) of the Master Mix and Positive Control should be avoided, as this may affect assay performance. For intermittent use, reagents should be aliquoted prior to freezing.
All kit components are stable for up to 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions.
