The Customer Service Representative is responsible for actively prospecting and identifying new customers, forging strong relationships, and expanding Norgen’s customer network. They are responsible for leveraging knowledge of molecular biology to educate customers on Norgen’s products and provide personalized support. Your responsibilities will include:
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets within the life sciences industry.
Lead Generation: Actively generate new leads and qualify prospects through outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling.
Strategic collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed targets.
Client Relationship Management: Facilitate personalized working relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business and provide education on Norgen’s products.
Network Development: Actively prospecting and identifying new accounts, forging strong relationships and expanding Norgen’s customer network in both academia and B2B environments.
Applied Knowledge Demonstration: Leveraging knowledge of molecular biology, including DNA/RNA purification and PCR to assist customers in achieving their goals.
Administrative Functions: Handling administrative tasks such as generating quotes and processing orders.
Additional tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager
Education: Undergraduate degree or college diploma in life science field (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc.) required.
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience (customer service/sales) is required.
