Norgen’s Exosome Purification and RNA Isolation Kits enable fast, flexible, robust, and convenient all-in-one systems for intact exosome purification from a wide range of cell-free liquid biopsies in addition to the subsequent RNA isolation from both the purified intact exosomes and the circulating cell-free RNA. Relying on Norgen’s proprietary resin technology, the intact exosomes are purified in 30 minutes and are free from any cell-free circulating protein-bound RNA which typically contaminates exosomes and impedes effective exosomal content analyses. The purified intact exosomes are amenable to labelling, counting, imaging, and in vivo / in vitro functional studies, as well as exosomal analyte isolations and analyses.
These kits also allow for the subsequent fractionated isolation of RNA from the previously purified intact exosomes, as well as the isolation of circulating cell-free RNA. The RNA purification is based on Norgen’s proprietary resin which isolates all sizes of RNA, including microRNA, irrespective of size or GC content, without bias. The exosomal RNA fraction is free from any circulating cell-free RNA, whereas the cfc-RNA fraction is free from any exosomal RNA. The kits recover the purified RNA in a flexible elution volume ranging from 50 µL to 100 µL, and the purified RNA can be used in a number of downstream applications including real time PCR, reverse transcription PCR, Northern blotting, RNase protection and primer extension, and expression array assays.
