Avocado Sunblotch Viroid (ASBVd) TaqMan RT-PCR Detection Kits
For research use only and NOT intended for in vitro diagnostics.
Overview
- Detection kits for ASBVd
- Available in TaqMan format for analysis
Avocado Sunblotch Viroid (ASBVd) is an important disease affecting avocado trees. ASBVd is the smallest known viroid that infects plants and is transmissible by pollen and infected seeds or budwood. Infection results in lower yields and poorer quality fruit. Trees infected with the viroid often show no symptoms other than a reduction in yield (by 30% or more). Symptomless trees represent a greater danger in terms of spread of the viroid.

Storage Conditions and Product Stability
All kit components can be stored for 1 year after the date of production without showing any reduction in performance.
All kit components should be stored at -20°C upon arrival. Repeated thawing and freezing (> 2 x) of the Master Mix and Positive Control should be avoided, as this may affect the performance of the assay. If the reagents are to be used only intermittently, they should be frozen in aliquots.
